PROJECT OVERVIEW

Turning a regional wine story into a physical presentation.

Great Southern Sip is a Western Australian wine platform created to connect customers with wines, producers and stories from the Great Southern region.

For U Supply supported the development of custom presentation packaging intended for wine experiences, curated selections and corporate gifting. The project translated the supplied brand direction into a practical printed structure, developed the internal bottle protection system and progressed the approved packaging into production.

THE REQUIREMENT

A branded format that could be checked before production.

The packaging needed to:

  • Present the Great Southern Sip brand professionally
  • Support wine gifting and curated collections
  • Convert supplied artwork into a practical box structure
  • Protect multiple wine bottles during handling and delivery
  • Maintain consistent print positioning, colour and finishing
  • Allow a physical sample to be reviewed before production

OUR APPROACH

One coordinated process from requirement to finished production.

Perth-based client communication was combined with China-based supplier coordination, structural development, sampling, production follow-up and factory-side quality control.

01

Define the requirement

Review the intended use, packaging format, bottle arrangement, dimensions, artwork and presentation priorities.

02

Select the manufacturer

Match the box structure, print process, finishing requirements and order quantity with a suitable packaging factory.

03

Develop the sample

Coordinate the dieline, print layout, material selection, internal dividers and physical sample preparation.

04

Inspect and produce

Check artwork placement, colour, folding, finish and visible defects before approving bulk production and dispatch.

FACTORY-SIDE QUALITY CONTROL

Reviewing the physical result where it was produced.

Frank reviewed the printed packaging at the manufacturing stage in China. This created a direct factory-side checkpoint before shipment, allowing production details and visible issues to be discussed directly with the manufacturer.

PROJECT OUTCOME

From concept to production-ready packaging.

Physical samples were produced and reviewed for structure, print quality, internal protection and overall presentation before the approved packaging progressed into bulk production.

The finished packaging was packed for dispatch and created a reusable presentation format for curated wine packs, tasting experiences, corporate gifting and seasonal collections.
